Summer Camp 2026 Important Reminders
Drop-Off Procedures (9:30 AM)
Drop-off begins promptly at 9:30 AM each day. There is NO bus transportation to/from Kanan & Agoura Road during Summer Camp. On occasional Community Outing days the drop off will be at Kanan & Agoura, please read the weekly email for these important details.
You may choose one of the following options:
Option 1: Walk-In Drop-Off
- Park in the front parking lot before the creek.
- Walk your Rancher to the Main Center for check-in.
Option 2: Drive-Through Drop-Off
- Follow the driveway all the way to the top of the property, past the chicken coop.
- Turn around the tree and join the drop-off line.
- Please wait your turn. GHR staff will begin greeting vehicles and opening doors promptly at 9:30 AM.
For everyone’s safety:
- Do not reverse on the driveway.
- Do not pass vehicles in front of you.
- Please have your Rancher remain in the vehicle until you reach the unloading station.
- The inner parking lot on the right-hand side is reserved for GHR vehicles only.
- Do not leave your vehicle unattended in the drop-off lane. If you would like to come inside, please park in the front lot first.
Community Driving Reminder
Please respect our neighbors and help keep everyone safe by adhering to the 35 MPH speed limit on Triunfo Canyon Road when traveling to and from the Ranch. If your Rancher is accompanied by a support aide, please make sure they are also aware of and follow the speed limit.
Pick-Up Procedures (3:00 PM)
Pick-up will follow the same procedures as drop-off.
Please ensure timely arrival for pick-up. Late pick-ups may result in additional billing charges to families.
Attendance & Registration
Summer Camp is currently at full capacity and we have an active waitlist. If your Rancher will be absent on a specific day, please notify Jeni at Jeni@GoldenHeartRanch.org at least 48 hours in advance.
Please note:
- No-call/no-show absences may result in suspension from Summer Camp participation.
- Repeated cancellations may also impact future attendance opportunities due to our waitlist.
Lunch & Food Service
GHR provides lunch to Ranchers every day of the program and can accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian dietary restrictions. Ranchers are also welcome to bring their own lunch if they prefer.
New this Summer: The weekly email will include a link to a lunch order form. This form must be completed if your Rancher will be receiving a GHR-provided lunch. This helps us better prepare meals and purchase only what is needed.
Nut-Free Campus
Golden Heart Ranch is a nut-free program. If your Rancher or support staff are bringing lunch or snacks, please ensure they contain no nuts or nut products.
Treats & Snacks
Throughout Summer Camp, Ranchers may occasionally be served snow cones, popsicles, snacks, or other small treats.
GHR will always follow documented dietary restrictions and allergies. If for any reason you do not want your Rancher to participate in Summer Camp treats, please notify Jeni at Jeni@GoldenHeartRanch.org.
What to Bring
- Closed-toe shoes are required every day.
- Ranchers may bring sandals to wear at the pool.
- Please label all items with your Rancher’s name.
- Bring a reusable water bottle with your Rancher’s name clearly marked. GHR provides cold, fresh drinking water throughout the day.
Personal Belongings & Storage
Ranchers will have access to an open-face locker and cubby space. Because our enrollment exceeds the number of cubbies available, some storage areas will be shared.
Please only bring necessary items. Due to increased enrollment, unless your Rancher attends five days per week, we ask that personal belongings not be left at the Ranch overnight. Locker assignments rotate based on attendance and registration needs, and GHR is unable to store a large number of personal items between program days.
Sunscreen
Please apply your Rancher’s first layer of sunscreen before arrival. If authorized on your Rancher’s intake forms, GHR staff will reapply:
- Spray sunscreen on the body
- Lotion sunscreen on the face
Swimming Days
On days with morning swim sessions, please have your Rancher arrive wearing their swimsuit so we can head directly to the pool.
Please pack:
- A towel
- A change of clothes
Restroom & Septic System Reminders
Golden Heart Ranch operates on a very sensitive septic system. To help us avoid costly repairs and disruptions to programming, please review the following guidelines:
The only items that may be flushed are:
- Human waste
- Toilet paper
Please do not send your Rancher with wipes of any kind, including disposable, flushable, or reusable wipes intended for disposal in toilets.
Additionally:
- All feminine hygiene products must be disposed of in the trash.
- If a support person uses wipes while assisting a Rancher, those wipes must be placed in the garbage and never flushed.
We appreciate your help in protecting our septic system and keeping our facilities running smoothly.
Theme Days
We encourage Ranchers to join the fun by participating in our theme days whenever possible! Feel free to wear themed shirts or accessories, provided closed-toe shoes are still worn.
Update Your Information
If any of the following information has changed, please complete an updated Emergency Contact Form:
- Emergency contacts
- Home address
- Allergies
If your Rancher has updated medication or over the counter changes please complete the OTC & Medication Waiver

Families with 1:1 Support
Families whose Ranchers attend with 1:1 support staff will receive additional informaion outlining expectations, procedures, and important information for support staff at GHR.
